About Zero to Hero Casting Agency


Zero to Hero is a Casting Agency which casts for all ages and races, for television advertising and film work. It was launched by Michael Ndlovu, director of Promotionettes, one of South Africa's premier exhibition and promotional modeling agencies. Since 1986, the company has seen many characters who started with us and have risen to fame, such as Phila Mazibuko from Muvhango, also live presenter on SABC 1; Sabelo Mtshali - radio DJ on YFM, Nathi Puzani - presenter on Spirit Sundae on SABC1, and Charlotte Mulaundzi as Sundani on Muvhango.

The name "Zero to Hero" is inspired by the true life story of the struggles he faced and overcame in his climb from company driver to company director. A journalist once penned this phrase about Michael, and it stuck! It's a wonderful South African success story, and he wants nothing more than to help and inspire others to be the best they can be, not a "zero", but a "hero"!
